Ikhtisar
Known as the “city of heroes”, Surabaya has always held a special place for the Indonesian people. The famous Jembatan Merah (Red Bridge) and the Heroes Monument both attract tourists from near and far, but there is a wealth of lesser-known landmarks too: the Grand Mosque, the Chinese-style Cheng Ho Mosque, the Mpu Tantular Museum, with its large collection of ancient Javanese artifacts, and the unique House of Sampoerna cigarette museum.
